Getting Started

What is EXRA Integrations?

EXRA is a project coordination platform for security and technical infrastructure projects. Technicians perform the technical work, while EXRA manages the process around assessment, planning, procurement, execution monitoring, handover and post-project support.

Does EXRA perform installations directly?

No. Technical work is performed by suitable technicians within the EXRA network. EXRA manages the project process and provides the coordination layer between the client, technician and supplier.

How do I start a project with EXRA?

A project starts by submitting the required project information to EXRA. The request is reviewed and suitable technician and supplier coverage is checked for the project location and requirements. Where coverage is available, the project can proceed to the assessment stage.

Assessment & Planning

Does every project require an assessment?

Yes. Every initiated project goes through an assessment before the final project scope and pricing are confirmed. The assessment allows the project requirements to be verified before EXRA prepares the final project structure.

How much does an assessment cost?

Assessment fees are generally estimated between R600 and R1,000. The actual amount may vary depending on the project location, travel requirements and the nature or complexity of the project.

Is the assessment fee refundable?

The assessment fee covers the technician's assessment work and associated project-processing costs. If the client proceeds with the project, the assessment amount is credited toward the final project amount. If the client chooses not to proceed after the assessment, the assessment fee is retained.

When is a technician assigned?

Once project availability has been confirmed and the required assessment payment has been completed, EXRA assigns a suitable technician based on factors such as location, availability and project requirements.

What happens after the assessment?

The assessment information is used to verify the project scope. EXRA can then determine the required materials, labour and other project requirements and prepare the appropriate project pricing before execution begins.

Payments & Procurement

Who supplies the project materials?

EXRA coordinates project materials through suitable suppliers within the project workflow. Material availability is checked as part of procurement and, where required, procurement can be routed to another suitable supplier when stock is unavailable.

How are project payments handled?

Payments are managed according to the approved project scope and workflow. Required project funds are secured before the relevant procurement and execution stages proceed. Technician labour settlement follows completion of the required work and applicable completion and sign-off requirements.

Execution & Support

How does EXRA monitor a project once work begins?

Project execution can include technician assignment, project status updates, start and completion records, site evidence, required checklists and execution monitoring through to project handover.

What happens when the project is completed?

The project moves through completion and handover. Required completion information is recorded, the client confirms the completed work, and applicable post-project support and workmanship warranty provisions become active.

Does EXRA provide a workmanship warranty?

Yes. Qualifying completed projects include a 6 to 12-month workmanship warranty, depending on the project value and type. The warranty covers applicable installation-related workmanship faults, subject to the relevant warranty conditions.

What happens if there is a problem after the project is completed?

Post-project issues can be submitted for support. The issue is reviewed to determine whether it falls within the applicable workmanship warranty or whether it relates to another cause requiring separate diagnosis or quotation.

Network & Availability

What happens if EXRA does not have coverage in my area?

If suitable technician or supplier coverage is not yet available for the requested project and location, the project cannot proceed through the normal execution workflow. The client can instead join the EXRA waiting list while network coverage expands.

Can technicians join EXRA?

Yes. Technicians can apply to join the EXRA technician network for future project opportunities. Registration is not an employment application, and project matching can consider location, experience, availability and project requirements.

Can suppliers join EXRA?

Yes. Suppliers can register to participate in the EXRA supplier network and potentially supply materials for active projects where their products, stock and location meet project requirements.
